2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

4. Add the seared beef on top of the onions.
5. In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
6. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef.
7. Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours or high for 4–6 hours.
8. Remove the beef and shred it using two forks.
9. Return shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
10. Let it cook for another 20–30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Searing the beef before slow cooking enhances the overall flavor significantly.
Letting the shredded beef sit in the sauce improves moisture and taste.
Adjust the sweetness or tanginess by tweaking sugar or vinegar to your liking.
