Ingredients

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup barbecue sauce

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup ranch dressing

1 cup crispy fried onions

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

6 slices cooked bacon crumbled (optional)

1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

1/2 cup sautéed mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

1. Pat chicken dry and season evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Sear chicken for 5–7 minutes on one side until golden brown.

4. Flip and cook another 4–5 minutes until nearly cooked through.

5. Reduce heat and coat chicken with barbecue sauce.

6. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over chicken.

7. Cover and let cheese melt for 2–3 minutes.

8. Drizzle ranch dressing over melted cheese.

9. Top with crispy fried onions and optional bacon or extras.

10. Let sit briefly, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting and texture.

Avoid overcrowding the pan to achieve a proper sear.

Add crispy onions just before serving to maintain crunch.
