Ingredients
- 15–20 Oreos
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Sugar for coating (about 1/2 cup)
Instructions
- Prepare the cheesecake filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Stuff the Oreos: Twist the Oreo cookies apart, add the cheesecake filling, and press the cookies back together.
- Make the batter: In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
- Heat the oil: In a deep pan, heat enough vegetable oil to fry the Oreos to 350°F (175°C).
- Coat the Oreos: Dip each stuffed Oreo in the batter, covering it completely.
- Fry the Oreos: Carefully place the coated Oreos in the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Drain and coat: Remove the Oreos from the oil, place them on paper towels, and coat with sugar.
- Serve: Let the Oreos cool slightly, then serve with whipped cream or your favorite toppings.
