Perfect for quick dinner ideas, family meals, or even a cozy weekend treat, this easy recipe brings restaurant-quality flavor right into your kitchen.

Ingredients

2 cups elbow macaroni

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded

1 cup American cheese chopped or sliced

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated

2 cups whole milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

3 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika optional

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the macaroni until slightly under al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat and whisk in flour to form a roux. Cook for 1–2 minutes.

3. Slowly add milk while whisking, then stir in heavy cream and cook until thickened.

4. Reduce heat and add cheeses gradually, stirring until smooth and melted.

5. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

6. Combine pasta with cheese sauce and mix well.

7. Transfer to a greased baking dish.

8. Top with extra cheese.

9. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.

10. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for the smoothest sauce and best melt.

Keep heat low when adding cheese to prevent a grainy texture.

Add a splash of milk when reheating to restore creaminess.
