Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
Flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions
1. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
5. Fold in chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
6. Chill the dough for 30–60 minutes (optional, but recommended).
7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
8. Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon-sized balls and place them on the baking sheet.
9. Add extra chocolate chips and peppermint to the tops, then sprinkle lightly with sea salt.
10. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
11. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Notes
Chilling the dough helps create thick, bakery-style cookies that don’t spread too much.
Use a cookie scoop for uniform size and even baking.
Lightly press toppings on before baking for a prettier, photo-worthy finish.
