8 ounces rotini pasta

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional


Instructions

1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

4. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.

5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the remaining butter. Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute.

6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until smooth.

7. Add cooked pasta and stir to coat. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
