Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails on)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 garlic cloves (minced)

1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Chopped parsley and lemon slices (optional garnish)

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, parsley, salt, and black pepper.

2. Add the shrimp and toss until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes.

3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and oil the surface lightly.

4. Thread shrimp onto metal or soaked wooden skewers, spacing them slightly apart.

5. Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, flipping once, until pink and lightly charred.

6. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices, and serve immediately.

Notes

Always preheat your grill or pan to get that perfect sear on the shrimp.

Don’t over-marinate — 30 minutes is enough to infuse flavor without breaking down the texture.

Use large shrimp for best grilling results, and keep the tails on for a beautiful presentation.
