Craving something bold, flavorful, and easy to whip up? These Teriyaki Marinated Beef Strips with Sesame Seeds are exactly what your dinner rotation needs. Juicy slices of beef are marinated in a rich blend of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar, then seared to perfection and topped with toasted sesame seeds for that irresistible crunch. Perfect for a quick dinner idea, a healthy snack, or even an elegant easy recipe for guests. If you’re searching for food ideas that deliver maximum flavor with minimal effort, this one’s a keeper!

Ingredients

500g flank or sirloin steak

1/3 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons water

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (toasted)

Instructions

1. Slice the beef thinly against the grain for tender texture.

2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water.

3. Place beef in a bag or bowl and pour in the marinade. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.

4. Heat a skillet with a bit of oil over medium-high heat.

5. Sear the beef in batches for 1-2 minutes per side until browned and caramelized.

6. Optional: Simmer leftover marinade in a pan for 3–4 minutes until thickened.

7. Plate the beef, drizzle with glaze if using, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Notes

Slice the beef cold for cleaner cuts, then let it come to room temperature before cooking.

Don’t overcrowd the pan—cook in batches for best caramelization.

Marinate longer (up to 24 hours) for deeper flavor if time allows.
