Ingredients
- 3 large sweet onions (Vidalia or similar), sliced into 1/2 inch rounds
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8×8 baking dish.
- Slice sweet onions into 1/2-inch thick rounds, keeping the rings intact.
- Arrange onion slices in a single or slightly overlapping layer in the dish.
- Season evenly with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Drizzle melted butter over the onions, letting it seep between the layers.
- Top evenly with shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake uncovered for 30–40 minutes, or until onions are tender and cheese is golden and bubbly.
