Whether you’re serving them for breakfast, as a snack, or for dessert, these bite-sized delights are guaranteed to impress!

Ingredients

For the donut holes:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Vegetable oil for frying (if deep frying)

For the cheesecake filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh strawberries, finely chopped (optional, for a strawberry-infused filling)

For topping:

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Donut Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Gradually add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until combined. Set the dough aside.

  2. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
In another bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract and heavy cream, mixing until fluffy. Optionally, fold in finely chopped fresh strawberries for extra flavor. Chill the filling in the fridge.

  3. Shape and Fry the Donut Holes
Heat the oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C). Form small balls of dough and drop them into the hot oil, frying in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels or a cooling rack.

  4. Fill the Donut Holes
Once the donut holes have cooled slightly, pipe the chilled cheesecake filling into the center of each donut hole using a piping bag or zip-lock bag.

  5. Finish and Serve
Dust the filled donut holes with powdered sugar and serve immediately. Optionally, top with additional fresh strawberries for extra flair.
