Ingredients
300g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon gochujang
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 packs Korean instant ramen, seasoning packets discarded
1 tablespoon gochujang
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon chili flakes
½ teaspoon sugar
¼ cup reserved noodle water
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon gochujang
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon warm water
2 tablespoons chopped scallions
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
Optional: shredded nori, pickled radish, soft-boiled egg
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, gochujang, garlic, ginger, vinegar, and pepper. Add beef, toss, and marinate for 30 minutes.
2. Mix the creamy sauce ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Set aside.
3. Boil ramen noodles, cook until al dente, reserve ¼ cup water, then drain and rinse noodles under cold water.
4. In a pan over low heat, mix gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili flakes, sugar, and reserved noodle water. Add noodles, stir until coated, then remove from heat.
5. Heat grill pan over medium-high. Grill beef slices 2–3 minutes per side until charred and cooked through. Work in batches if needed.
6. Plate the noodles, top with grilled beef, drizzle creamy sauce, and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds. Add optional toppings if desired.
Notes
Let beef sit at room temperature before grilling for even cooking and better texture.
Use Kewpie mayo in the creamy sauce for maximum umami flavor.
Don’t skip rinsing the noodles—this keeps them from overcooking and getting mushy.
