Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup diced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 large flour tortillas
Instructions
1. Cook elbow macaroni in salted boiling water for 7–8 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour to form a roux. Cook for 1 minute.
3. Slowly add milk to the roux, whisking until thickened.
4. Stir in shredded cheddar, salt, and pepper until smooth. Add cooked macaroni and set aside.
5. In a skillet, brown ground beef with diced onion until cooked and onions are soft. Drain excess fat.
6. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–7 minutes.
7. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
8. Add mac and cheese and sloppy joe mix to each tortilla. Fold sides and roll tightly.
9. (Optional) Toast wraps in a skillet or panini press for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
Notes
Always warm your tortillas before assembling to prevent cracking.
Don’t overstuff the wrap—leave space for folding without spillage.
Use a panini press or skillet for a crispy, sealed finish that holds everything together.
