Ingredients

  • 300g (10 oz) sirloin steak or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 200g (7 oz) tagliatelle pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Grated parmesan or toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook pasta until al dente, reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, and drain.
  2. Pat beef dry, season with salt and pepper, and toss with cornstarch if using.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef in batches for 1–2 minutes per side. Set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in soy sauce, honey, vinegar, sriracha, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Return beef to skillet. Add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until well-coated.
  7. Garnish with herbs, sesame seeds, or parmesan. Serve hot and enjoy!
