Ingredients
8 breakfast sausage links
8 slices sandwich bread
2 large eggs
1/4 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Butter or oil for frying
Maple syrup for serving
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
1. Cook or reheat sausage links until browned and cooked through. Set aside.
2. Trim crusts off bread slices and flatten with a rolling pin.
3. Place a sausage at the edge of a bread slice and roll tightly. Seal seam side down.
4. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and sugar.
5. Dip each roll-up quickly into the egg mixture, coating all sides.
6. Heat a skillet with butter or oil over medium heat.
7. Cook roll-ups until golden brown on all sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.
8. Serve warm with syrup and optional powdered sugar.
Notes
For best results, use soft sandwich bread and roll while the sausages are warm, not hot.
Don’t soak the bread—dip quickly to avoid sogginess.
These can be frozen and reheated, making them perfect for busy mornings.
