Description

This One-Pot Creamy Spicy Garlic Butter Steak & Pasta is a rich and comforting dish made with tender seared steak bites, rotini pasta, and a velvety garlic butter cream sauce with a spicy kick. The pasta cooks directly in the sauce, absorbing deep layers of flavor, while the steak is folded back in for a juicy, satisfying bite. It’s a simple yet elegant dinner made in just one pan—perfect for weeknights or impressing guests.

Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

½ tsp smoked paprika

3 tbsp unsalted butter

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp red pepper flakes

1½ cups heavy cream

½ cup beef broth

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

8 oz rotini pasta

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Additional Parmesan, for serving (optional)

1 cup baby spinach or sautéed mushrooms (optional)

½ tsp onion powder or garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add steak cubes in a single layer, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.

2. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Melt the butter and add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

3. Stir in heavy cream and beef broth. Add Parmesan and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to thicken slightly.

4. Add rotini pasta directly into the sauce. Stir to coat, cover, and simmer on low heat for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente.

5. Return the steak and any juices to the pan. Stir to combine and heat through for 1–2 more minutes.

6. Garnish with parsley and more Parmesan. Serve hot.

Notes

Let the steak rest at room temperature before cooking for better searing.

Stir pasta occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.

Add a splash of broth or cream when reheating to restore the sauce’s creamy texture.
