Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1 cup frozen or fresh green peas
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep all ingredients before starting: slice beef, dice onion, mince garlic and ginger, slice bell pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef in batches, 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add red bell pepper and green peas. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until just tender.
- Return beef to the skillet. Pour in sweet chili sauce and soy sauce. Stir well to coat everything.
- Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Serve hot over warm cooked rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro if using.
