Ingredients
1 box no-boil lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef
4 cups marinara sauce
1 ½ cups ricotta cheese
1 large egg
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp chopped parsley or basil (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
3. Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
4. Stir in marinara sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan until well combined.
6. Spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
7. Add a layer of no-boil noodles over the sauce.
8. Spread a third of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
9. Add a layer of meat sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
10. Repeat layers two more times, ending with sauce and a final layer of cheese.
11. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
12. Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
13. Let the lasagna rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing and serving.
