Description

A simple, flavor-packed Mediterranean Feta Dipping Oil made with cubes of creamy feta, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and herbs. Perfect as an appetizer, a snack, or a side for bread, veggies, or grains.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz block of feta cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp fresh or dried thyme
  • Cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • Optional: Zest of 1/2 lemon
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the block of feta into small, even cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, oregano, thyme, black pepper, and any optional ingredients you’re using.
  3. Place feta cubes in a shallow bowl or dish.
  4. Pour the herbed oil mixture over the feta and gently toss or stir to coat.
  5. Cover and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to 1 hour, or refrigerate if preparing ahead.
  6. Before serving, allow to come to room temperature.
  7. Serve with bread, vegetables, or other accompaniments.
