Description
A simple, flavor-packed Mediterranean Feta Dipping Oil made with cubes of creamy feta, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and herbs. Perfect as an appetizer, a snack, or a side for bread, veggies, or grains.
Ingredients
- 8 oz block of feta cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, finely minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp fresh or dried thyme
- Cracked black pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Optional: Zest of 1/2 lemon
- Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cut the block of feta into small, even cubes.
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, oregano, thyme, black pepper, and any optional ingredients you’re using.
- Place feta cubes in a shallow bowl or dish.
- Pour the herbed oil mixture over the feta and gently toss or stir to coat.
- Cover and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to 1 hour, or refrigerate if preparing ahead.
- Before serving, allow to come to room temperature.
- Serve with bread, vegetables, or other accompaniments.
