Whether you’re looking for breakfast ideas, food ideas for brunch, or a hearty dinner recipe, this bowl covers it all with bold flavor and effortless prep.

Ingredients

1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled

1/2 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons ranch dressing

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1/4 cup diced red bell pepper

Optional: scrambled or fried eggs

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen tater tots evenly on a large baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway.

2. While tots bake, cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain and crumble.

3. In a small bowl, mix sour cream, ranch dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.

4. Shred the cheeses if using blocks. Combine cheddar and Monterey Jack in a bowl.

5. Once tater tots are baked, transfer them to serving bowls. Add the cheese immediately to melt.

6. Drizzle the sour cream mixture over the melted cheese.

7. Top with crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, and diced red bell pepper. Add eggs if desired.

8. Serve hot, optionally with hot sauce on the side.

Notes

For extra crispiness, don’t overcrowd your tater tots on the baking sheet.

Freshly shredded cheese melts better than pre-shredded.

Keep toppings separate when storing leftovers to prevent sogginess.
