Description

A creamy, spicy cheese ball loaded with cheddar, bacon, and jalapenos, perfect for parties or gatherings. This rich and flavorful appetizer is easy to prepare and pairs beautifully with crackers, bread, or veggies.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 45 slices cooked bacon (finely chopped)
  • 2 fresh jalapenos (seeded and finely diced)
  • ¼ cup diced green onions
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or crushed crackers (optional coating)
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or cilantro) for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Cream Cheese Base: In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  2. Add Mix-Ins: Stir in diced jalapenos, chopped bacon, and green onions. Fold gently to distribute evenly.
  3. Shape the Cheese Ball: Transfer the cheese mixture to a sheet of plastic wrap. Gather the wrap around the mixture and shape it into a ball. Chill for at least 1 hour.
  4. Coat the Cheese Ball: Once firm, unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in chopped pecans, crushed crackers, or extra bacon bits for added texture.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Place on a serving plate, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve with crackers, bread, or veggie sticks.
