Ingredients
8 oz shrimp (peeled and deveined, medium size)
6 oz lump crab meat (drained)
2 cups fresh spinach (roughly chopped)
8 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/3 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded, divided)
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese (grated, divided)
2 green onions (thinly sliced, for garnish)
1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for sautéing)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Toasted baguette slices, crackers, or veggies (for serving)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter. Sauté shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until just pink. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add garlic and spinach. Sauté until spinach wilts and liquid evaporates. Let cool slightly.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
5. Fold in sautéed spinach, crab meat, half of the mozzarella, and half of the Parmesan. Mix gently.
6. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Arrange shrimp on top, pressing slightly into the dip.
7. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the top.
8. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until bubbly and golden. Broil for 1–2 minutes if desired.
9. Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions. Serve warm with toasted bread, crackers, or veggies.
Notes
Cream cheese should be softened for easy mixing and a smooth texture.
Squeeze all moisture out of spinach and crab before adding to prevent watery dip.
Use a shallow baking dish to ensure even cooking and maximize cheesy topping.
