Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 medium yellow onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened. Drain excess fat.

3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

4. Add cream of mushroom soup and stir until fully combined.

5. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.

6. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.

7. Arrange frozen tater tots on top in a single layer.

8. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until tater tots are golden and crispy.

9. Add the remaining cheddar cheese during the last 5 minutes for extra cheesiness.

10. Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, use freshly shredded cheddar instead of pre-shredded cheese.

Add diced pickles or tomatoes before serving for a real cheeseburger touch.

To make ahead, assemble the dish and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
