Ingredients
- 1 prepared angel food cake (store-bought or homemade), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
- 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream)
- 1 cup assorted fresh fruit (e.g., sliced strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, cherries)
Instructions
- Cut angel food cake into 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix, milk, and sour cream until smooth and slightly thickened.
- In a 9×13-inch dish, layer half of the angel food cake cubes.
- Spread half of the cherry pie filling over the cake layer.
- Pour and spread half of the pudding mixture on top.
- Repeat layers with remaining cake, pudding, and cherry pie filling.
- Spread whipped topping over the final layer.
- Decorate with fresh fruit.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Slice and serve cold.
