Golden, garlicky, and irresistibly soft on the inside, these Heart Shaped Breadsticks are the perfect savory snack or side dish. Shaped like hearts and baked to a golden crisp, they bring charm and flavor to any occasion—from Valentine’s dinners to festive gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (or 1 batch homemade pizza dough)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried parsley)
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- (Optional) 1 cup marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Slice into 1-inch wide, 8 to 10-inch long strips.
- Fold each strip into a “V” shape, curl the ends inward, and pinch to form a heart.
- Place hearts on the baking sheet, spaced evenly.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Brush each heart with the butter mixture.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Optional: Brush again with remaining butter and serve warm with marinara.
