Ingredients

  • 1.52 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into 1–1.5 inch cubes and pat dry with paper towels. Season with salt, pepper, and onion powder if using.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and swirl to coat.
  3. Add steak bites in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Sear for 2 minutes, flip, and cook for another 1–2 minutes until browned and desired doneness is reached. Remove and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and melt. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Return steak bites to the pan. Toss to coat in garlic butter. Sprinkle with parsley and red pepper flakes.
  6. Serve hot with extra garlic butter from the pan spooned over the top.
