  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)

For the Pasta and Sauce:

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meatballs: In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
  2. Cook the Meatballs: Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  4. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt 3 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Prepare the Parmesan Sauce: Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  6. Combine Everything: Return the meatballs to the skillet and coat them with the sauce. Add the cooked pasta and toss to combine.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley and extra parmesan before serving. Enjoy!
