Description

Golden, buttery, pan-fried sandwiches filled with creamy cheesecake and vibrant strawberry jam. Finished with a dusting of powdered sugar, these treats are warm, indulgent, and absolutely irresistible.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices white sandwich bread
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/3 cup strawberry jam
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for frying)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Spread cream cheese on 4 slices of bread.
  3. Spoon strawberry jam over the cream cheese.
  4. Top each with the remaining 4 slices of bread to form sandwiches.
  5. Gently press the edges to seal, optionally trimming the crusts.
  6. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. Fry each sandwich for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  8. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and let cool briefly.
  9. Slice, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
