Ingredients
- 8 slices white sandwich bread
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/3 cup strawberry jam
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for frying)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Soften the cream cheese in a bowl until smooth.
- Spread cream cheese on 4 slices of bread.
- Spoon strawberry jam over the cream cheese.
- Top each with the remaining 4 slices of bread to form sandwiches.
- Gently press the edges to seal, optionally trimming the crusts.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry each sandwich for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and let cool briefly.
- Slice, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
