Ingredients
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 1/2 cups eggnog
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
2 1/2 teaspoons unflavored powdered gelatin
3 tablespoons cold water
Optional toppings: whipped cream, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, crushed gingerbread cookies
Instructions
1. Sprinkle 2 1/2 teaspoons gelatin over 3 tablespoons cold water and let bloom 5–10 minutes.
2. Heat heavy cream, eggnog, and sugar over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves (do not boil).
3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nutmeg.
4. Whisk in bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
5. Strain mixture for extra smooth texture (optional).
6. Pour into jars or ramekins.
7. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight until set.
8. Garnish before serving.
Notes
For a softer texture, reduce gelatin slightly.
Do not let the dairy mixture boil.
Add toppings just before serving for best presentation.
