Ingredients

1 box (3 oz) lime jello

1 box (3 oz) cherry or strawberry jello

8 oz cream cheese

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 envelope unflavored gelatin

1 cup whipped topping (plus extra for garnish)

2 cups boiling water (1 for each jello layer)

2 cups cold water (1 for each jello layer)

Optional: 1/2 cup crushed pineapple

Optional: 1/4 cup chopped pecans or mini marshmallows

Lime zest or sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

1. In a bowl, dissolve lime jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved. Add 1 cup of cold water. Optionally, stir in crushed pineapple or marshmallows. Pour into a 9×13 glass dish and chill for 1 hour until firm.

2. In a small bowl, sprinkle unflavored gelatin over 1/4 cup cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.

3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Warm the condensed milk slightly and stir it in.

4. Heat the bloomed gelatin until dissolved (microwave 10 seconds if needed), then stir it into the cream cheese mixture. Pour this layer over the green jello and chill for 1–2 hours.

5. Dissolve red jello in 1 cup boiling water, add 1 cup cold water, and let it cool to room temp. Gently pour it over the cream layer and refrigerate for another 1–2 hours.

6. Before serving, top with whipped cream and garnish with lime zest or sprinkles. Cut and serve chilled.

Notes

Always let each layer set completely before adding the next to maintain sharp, clean lines.

Use a glass dish for the best visual effect of the layers.

Wait to add the whipped topping until just before serving to keep it fresh.
