Ingredients

- Gel food coloring (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- In a clean glass or metal mixing bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy.
- Gradually increase mixer speed to high, and beat until soft peaks form.
- Add sugar slowly, 1 tablespoon at a time, continuing to beat until stiff, glossy peaks form.
