Ingredients
- 1 deep-dish pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- ½ lb ground beef
- ½ lb Italian sausage
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 20–25 pepperoni slices
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust into a deep-dish pie pan and pre-bake for 10 minutes to prevent sogginess.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef and sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the pre-baked crust. Add a layer of mozzarella cheese, then the cooked meat mixture.
- Add another layer of sauce and cheese. Top with pepperoni slices and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- Let the pie rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
