Description

This Crispy Parmesan Chicken with a Rich Garlic Sauce is a crowd-pleasing, comfort food classic. Tender chicken breasts are coated in a flavorful Parmesan-breadcrumb crust and pan-fried to golden perfection. The star of the show is a velvety garlic cream sauce that’s poured over the crispy chicken just before serving, turning every bite into something magical.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced horizontally into cutlets)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style or panko)
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts horizontally and pound to even thickness. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan.
  3. Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, then dip in egg, and coat in the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. In a separate pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes over medium-low heat.
  6. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream and reduce for 3–5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
  7. Place chicken on a serving plate and spoon garlic sauce over the top. Garnish with more parsley.
