Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/3 cup cornstarch

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

3 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sriracha

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon grated ginger

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Pinch of chili flakes

Chopped parsley or green onions, for garnish

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

1. Pat shrimp completely dry with paper towels.

2. In a medium bowl, season shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and red pepper flakes.

3. Toss shrimp with cornstarch and flour until fully coated.

4. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and chili flakes to make the glaze.

5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

6. Fry shrimp in a single layer for 2 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Work in batches if necessary.

7. Transfer shrimp to paper towels to drain briefly.

8. While still hot, toss shrimp with the honey glaze until well coated.

9. Garnish with chopped parsley, green onions, sesame seeds, and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

Pat shrimp thoroughly dry before coating to maximize crispiness.

Don’t overcrowd the skillet or the shrimp will steam instead of sear.

Toss shrimp in the glaze while hot for the best flavor absorption.
