Golden, juicy, and irresistibly crunchy, these Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are tossed in a creamy-spicy sauce that’s the perfect balance of heat and sweetness. Perfect as an appetizer, game-day snack, or a standout main course.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skinless and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, whisked
- 1 1/4 cups panko breadcrumbs
- Neutral oil for frying (canola or vegetable oil)
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp lime juice (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Set up a breading station with 3 bowls: flour, whisked eggs, and panko.
- Dredge each salmon cube in flour, then egg, then panko. Press gently to coat well.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry salmon in batches for 1.5–2 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice to make the sauce.
- Toss the warm salmon bites in the sauce or drizzle over the top.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately.
