Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
2 tablespoons chopped chives or green onions
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature for 30 minutes. Cook bacon until crisp and crumble. Chop the chives or green onions.
2. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth and creamy.
3. Add ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
4. Fold in shredded cheddar and most of the bacon, saving some for garnish.
5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
6. When ready to serve, transfer to a bowl. Top with remaining bacon and chives. Serve with crackers or veggie sticks.
Notes
For best results, shred your own cheddar cheese—it melts smoother and tastes fresher.
Don’t skip the chill time. Letting it rest enhances the flavor and texture.
