Ingredients
12 oz bowtie pasta
1 lb ground beef
3 cloves garlic minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup beef broth
1 small onion finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning optional
2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
3. Push the beef to one side of the pan. Add chopped onion and sauté until soft, then stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
4. Pour in beef broth and simmer for 2–3 minutes, scraping up any browned bits.
5. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream. Let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes to thicken.
6. Add Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
7. Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
8. Turn off the heat and let pasta rest for 1–2 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and more Parmesan if desired.
9. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best melt and flavor.
Don’t skip the pasta water—it helps adjust sauce consistency without diluting flavor.
Simmer the cream gently to prevent curdling or separating.
