Ingredients

For the Steak & Pasta

  • Ribeye or Sirloin Steak (cut into bite-sized pieces): 1 lb (450 g)
  • Pasta (Penne, Rigatoni, or similar): 12 oz (340 g)
  • Olive Oil: 2 tbsp
  • Salt and Black Pepper: To taste

For the Honey Buffalo Cream Sauce

  • Unsalted Butter: 3 tbsp
  • Garlic (minced): 3 cloves
  • All-Purpose Flour: 2 tbsp
  • Heavy Cream: 1 ½ cups (360 ml)
  • Chicken or Beef Broth: 1 cup (240 ml)
  • Buffalo Sauce: ½ cup (120 ml)
  • Honey: ¼ cup (60 ml)
  • Cheddar Cheese (shredded): 1 cup (100 g)
  • Mozzarella Cheese (shredded): 1 cup (100 g)

For Garnish

  • Fresh Parsley or Chives (chopped): For serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente (about 1–2 minutes less than package instructions). Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak pieces with salt and pepper. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove steak and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Sprinkle flour and whisk continuously for 1–2 minutes to form a roux. Gradually pour in heavy cream and broth, whisking until smooth and thickened (about 3–4 minutes). Stir in buffalo sauce, honey, cheddar, and mozzarella until melted and creamy. Remove from heat.
  4. Combine and Assemble: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix cooked pasta, seared steak, and sauce in a large bowl. Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with additional mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden. Broil for 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness if desired.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley or chives. Enjoy!
