- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 9 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Boil Tortellini and Broccoli: In a pot of salted boiling water, cook tortellini according to package instructions. Add broccoli in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth and let simmer for 1 minute.
- Make it Creamy: Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan until fully melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Combine Everything: Return cooked chicken, tortellini, and broccoli to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the sauce. Let cook for another 2-3 minutes.
