Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 9 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. Boil Tortellini and Broccoli: In a pot of salted boiling water, cook tortellini according to package instructions. Add broccoli in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth and let simmer for 1 minute.
  4. Make it Creamy: Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan until fully melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Combine Everything: Return cooked chicken, tortellini, and broccoli to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the sauce. Let cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve warm.
