Ingredients
16 oz rotini pasta
1 lb ground beef
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp unsalted butter
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook rotini until al dente, drain, and set aside. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
3. Push beef to the side and melt butter in the cleared area. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
4. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
5. Add parmesan cheese gradually, stirring until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
6. Toss in the cooked rotini and mix well. Add reserved pasta water if sauce is too thick.
7. Serve hot with optional parsley and extra parmesan on top.
Notes
For best results, use freshly grated parmesan—not the pre-shredded kind.
