Creamy Garlic Chicken is a one-pan dish where tender chicken breasts are simmered in a luscious garlic-infused cream sauce. It’s rich, flavorful, and perfect for weeknights or a comforting weekend dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 5 garlic cloves, minced or sliced
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- 1 cup green beans (optional)
Instructions
- Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium, add remaining butter, and sauté garlic for 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping the pan, and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Return chicken to skillet, cover, and cook for 10–12 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
- Stir in Parmesan (if using) and thyme. Add green beans if using and simmer 2–3 more minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
