Ingredients

400g spaghetti

300g sirloin steak

1 cup heavy cream

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)

1/2 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.

2. Season steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat and sear the steak 3–4 minutes per side until crusted and cooked to desired doneness.

4. Remove steak from pan and let it rest.

5. In the same pan, lower heat and melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

6. Pour in heavy cream, stir in remaining Cajun seasoning if needed, and bring to a gentle simmer.

7. Stir in grated Parmesan and some reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce’s consistency.

8. Toss cooked spaghetti into the sauce until fully coated.

9. Slice the rested steak into strips and place over the creamy pasta or mix in.

10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Let the steak rest after searing to retain all the juices and flavor when slicing.

Always save some pasta water — it’s perfect for adjusting sauce texture.

Use a light hand with the Cajun seasoning at first; you can always add more to taste.
