Ingredients
400g spaghetti
450g ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente, then drain and set aside. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
3. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
5. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning over the beef and stir well. Cook for 1–2 minutes to release the spices’ aroma.
6. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer for 3–5 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly.
7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
8. Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water as needed to adjust sauce consistency.
9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Creamy sauces thicken as they cool—add a splash of broth or milk when reheating.
Use freshly grated Parmesan for better melting and flavor.
Adjust Cajun seasoning based on your spice tolerance—some blends are much hotter than others.
