Ingredients

- ½ cup powdered sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring
Color & Decoration:
- Pink gel food coloring
- Blue gel food coloring
- 2 tablespoons sprinkles or edible glitter (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and cotton candy flavoring until fully combined.
- Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Divide and Color the Dough: Split the dough into two equal portions. Add pink food coloring to one half and blue food coloring to the other, mixing until evenly colored.
- Create Swirls: Take small portions of pink and blue dough, place them together, and gently roll into balls, slightly twisting to create a swirl effect.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart, and lightly press down.
- Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
