Ingredients
1 pound penne pasta
2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
8 ounces cream cheese
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne and cook until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and crumble once cooled.
3. In the same skillet, add cream cheese and milk over low heat. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
4. Stir in ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Add cooked chicken and mix to coat. Stir in pasta and half of the bacon. Mix gently to combine.
6. Transfer mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and remaining bacon.
7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling. Broil for 2–3 minutes if a golden top is desired.
8. Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
For best results, use freshly shredded cheddar instead of pre-shredded.
