Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups pecans (1 cup chopped, ½ cup halved for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Fold together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  5. Pour & top: Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the pecan halves on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
