Ingredients
- 8 slices of white sandwich bread (crusts removed)
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk or cream (for glaze)
Instructions
- Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
- Mix the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl. Spread a thin layer on each bread slice.
- Roll each slice tightly and set aside.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and melt 1 tbsp butter.
- Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s coated but not soaked.
- Cook roll-ups in the pan for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with 1-2 tbsp milk until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over warm roll-ups and serve immediately.
