Juicy chipotle-spiced beef burgers topped with a smooth, tangy avocado sauce and stacked on a toasted brioche bun. These Chipotle Burgers with Avocado Sauce are bold, satisfying, and perfect for a gourmet burger night at home.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20)

2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, finely chopped

1 tbsp adobo sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp ground cumin

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 ripe avocado

1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 tbsp fresh lime juice

1 garlic clove

2 tbsp fresh cilantro (optional)

Salt to taste

4 brioche buns, toasted

4 slices Monterey Jack or pepper jack cheese

1 tomato, sliced

1 avocado, sliced (optional)

Fresh lettuce leaves

Extra avocado sauce for spreading

Instructions

1. In a food processor or blender, combine the avocado, sour cream or Greek yogurt, lime juice, garlic, cilantro (if using), and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth. Chill until ready to use.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.

3. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.

4. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the surface.

5. Grill burgers for 4–5 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Add cheese slices during the final minute to melt.

6. Toast the brioche buns until golden.

7. Spread avocado sauce on the bottom bun, place the patty on top, add sliced avocado, tomato, lettuce, and more sauce. Top with the other bun.

8. Serve immediately with extra avocado sauce on the side.

Notes

Customize spice level by adjusting chipotle peppers.

Use ripe avocados for the smoothest sauce.

Chill patties before grilling to retain shape.

Store components separately to maintain freshness.

Use a thermometer to ensure burgers are fully cooked.
