Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian rolls
- 6–8 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.
- Season beef with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Slice Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally (keep rolls connected).
- Place bottom halves in baking dish. Evenly spread seasoned beef over them.
- Top with cheddar slices, covering all the beef.
- Add the top half of the rolls. Press down gently.
- Brush tops with melted butter. Sprinkle sesame seeds if using.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and tops are golden.
- Let cool slightly, then cut between rolls to serve.
