Ingredients
32 oz frozen French fries
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup cooked bacon bits (or 4 slices cooked and crumbled)
2 tablespoons ketchup (optional)
1 tablespoon mustard (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped parsley or green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven and bake the frozen fries until golden and crisp, around 20–25 minutes.
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until beef is browned and onions are soft. Drain excess grease.
3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard to the beef. Stir to combine and cook for 1–2 more minutes.
4. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, create a base layer with the baked fries.
5. Evenly spread the cooked beef mixture over the fries.
6. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese generously on top.
7. Add cooked bacon bits as the final topping.
8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
9. Let cool for 5 minutes, garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.
10. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Bake the fries before assembling the casserole to keep the texture crispy.
Freshly shredded cheese melts better and gives a creamier texture than pre-shredded.
You can prepare the meat mixture in advance and assemble just before baking for convenience.
