  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional)
  • ¼ cup beef broth or water

For the Biscuit Topping:

  • 1 box (11 oz) Cheddar Bay biscuit mix
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet. Add diced onion and cook until softened.
  3. Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in optional flour and broth; simmer briefly.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared casserole dish.
  5. In a bowl, mix Cheddar Bay biscuit mix, garlic powder (optional), shredded cheddar, milk, and melted butter until combined.
  6. Spoon and spread the biscuit batter evenly over the beef layer.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until the topping is golden and fully cooked.
